David concentrates on project development, oil and gas projects, oil conservation, power, fiscal analysis, regulatory & strategic review, feasibility, due diligence and transactional support.

David began his career in London negotiating insurance contracts and insurance claims for the oil and gas sector before becoming a consultant to the energy sector. The last fifteen years David has worked advising clients across all continents on a wide range of advisory matters. David has provided upstream fiscal advice to governments and the private sector and has strong experience in the mid and downstream sectors. He has extensive experience working with private energy corporations, independent oil companies, national oil companies, oilfield service providers, storage companies, pipeline companies, traders, refiners, retailers, lenders, sponsors and developers of greenfield and brownfield projects, government agencies and multilateral agencies.

David worked as Director for Latin America for Wood Mackenzie establishing their presence in the region and working with NOC´s to develop corporate structures and governance processes. David has also worked as Director of Industrialization for the Bolivian Ministry of Hydrocarbons and as an in-house advisor for the World Bank.

David´s professional experience is supported by an MSc in Energy Studies from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee and the Institute of French Petroleum (IFP) in Paris. He also holds a law degree from the University of Leicester.
